At this point I say Horizon. Everything is a plane trip away and the travel partners are so close the travel isn't going to bad at all. If the big sky was FBS I would lean that way. I don't hate the big sky but at this point I think if we can swing that horizon deal and go indy I think that's the way to go.

I see a problem with the way the survey was worded... "enjoy FCS football?" I'm not sure how much we'd be enjoying it, and I'm not sure how much I'd trust a bunch of professors to really know the ins and outs of FCS vs FBS football. It's easy to lean on an option that clearly shows all of our sports aligned in a single conference with schools that are geographically closer. In any event though, it's troubling to see not much support for indy football. I also wonder what the "none of the above" people are thinking.
If we drop down to FCS and find ourselves losing to Idaho (we do most of the time as it is now, why would it be different in FCS?), NAU, SUU, etc. and not playing UNM or UTEP at home, how much will be be enjoying it? I can very easily see a couple losing seasons out of the gate and a "here we go again, we can't even win at the FCS level" mentality setting in.
