LAS CRUCES - Utah transfer JoJo Zamora has joined the New Mexico State men's basketball team.
Zamora, a 6-foot-2 guard, will sit out the 2017-18 season due to NCAA Division I transfer rules and has one year of college eligibility remaining. He is enrolled at NMSU.
Zamora had committed to Grand Canyon earlier this month before deciding to transfer to NMSU. Zamora was in Utah's rotation most of last season and averaged 6.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 20 minutes per game for the Utes last season. Prior to Utah, Zamora played at Yuba College in Marysville, Calif.
