LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Practice No. 3 is in the books for the 2012 New Mexico State Football team. The Aggies practiced for about an hour and a half in helmets and shoulder pads, as the team is still under the NCAA mandated five-day acclimation period.
It was windy afternoon in Las Cruces and the Aggies worked mostly on team packages but did do some position and special team drills. Head Coach DeWayne Walker thought this was a good learning day for the Aggies, teaching them how to be mentally tough in different play conditions. Walker was also pleased with the tempo of practice today as well.
The Aggies will be back on the field tomorrow for practice No. 4 beginning at 3 p.m. on the football practice field.
