LAS CRUCES, N.M. -The 2012 New Mexico State Football team held practice No. 6 and No. 7 on Saturday, holding the team's first two-a-day of fall camp. The Aggies practiced for about two hours each practice.
The morning practices featured the Aggies in helmets and shoulder pads, as the defense had the upper hand on the Aggie offense. The team went through its usually position drills and special teams. Walker was pleased with the tempo of the first practice.
The second practice of the day was more a scrimmage like practice, pitting the offense versus the defense for most of practice. It was the offense's turn in the afternoon, as the passing and running attacks were both hot.
The Aggies will be back on the field tomorrow for a very short practice No. 8 from 2:30-3:15 p.m.
