LAS CRUCES, N.M. -The 2012 New Mexico State Football team held practices No. 9 and 10 on Monday, marking the team's second two-a-day session of fall camp. The Aggies practiced for about two hours in each.
The morning practice featured the Aggies in helmets and shoulder pads. The defense stepped up its effort from the weekend and began to gel as a unit. The team also went through its daily progression of position and special teams drills.
In the second practice the team continued conditioning and position drills in full pads. The offensive and defensive units battled again on the field in the latter part of practice. The defense continued to perform well as the secondary stepped up with some late interceptions.
The Aggies will be back on the field for practice No. 11 tomorrow from 3-5 p.m.
