LAS CRUCES โ The newest housing complex at New Mexico State University is even more colorful than the flower for which it's named โ and, like any desert flower, reaches high standards in being energy-efficient.
The second phase of the existing Chamisa Village on-campus housing unit will open to students on Sunday, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the public slated for 5 p.m. Monday, said Julie Weber, director of housing and residential life at NMSU. Chamisa is for sophomore students and upperclassmen and is located on the east side of campus near Corbett Center Student Union.
