ENVER – For the second consecutive year, the NM State athletics department won the Western Athletic Conference annual Commissioner's Cup with 90.25 points, which tops the 2014-15 total of 89.25 points. The Commissioner's Cup is awarded to the WAC school that performs the best in each of the conference's 19 men's and women's sports. The Aggies have 15 teams that compete in the league.
"Winning the Western Athletic Conference commissioners cup is an honor and reflects the hard work of all student-athletes, coaches and administrators," said Director of Athletics Mario Moccia. "One of our three core principals is competitive intensity, and winning this comprehensive athletic award is extremely rewarding. Congratulations to all involved and Aggie Nation should be proud of this accomplishment."
